It was so lovely working with Annette on this project! She shared her vision with me in terms of the feeling she wanted to provoke, the style of poetry she had been writing, and her dream of publishing her book of poems. She had a location in mind already, and I trusted her to take me on a small hike through the river valley through the mud and slush to this beautiful location. We worked as the sun went down and got a little colder as we went, but I think that captured the essence of her book even more.
